    Morning Glow

We've had some interesting early morning sky lately and I caught a glimpse of some colours yesterday which looked promising. So I took off in the car to the river and was fortunate to get this sky about 10 mins before sunrise.

The colours in this are natural and have not been enhanced in pp. In fact, I actually backed off the reds and oranges a bit. I'd be interested in feedback please. Is the colour still too overwhelming ? Should I get rid of the tree branches on the LHS ?

Dave, if you had to back off the color, I can't imagine how intense it must have been since it's pretty awesome as it is. The branches on the LHS don't bother me but others may have a differing opinion.

Beautiful color and texture. Not at all jarring, in fact I'd like to see it in its full glory. I can live with the branches- I think you need them to add a bit of visual depth. But I might lose the buoys.

    Very nice pic

Great photo. I'm with Kevin and would like to see the original colors. We don't get to see skies like that in these parts.

Thanks for your comments Sergio, Kevin, Christina, Bruce and Jon. The original colours weren't that much stronger but here is what they looked like.

They're both great, Dave, but my preference is for the original. Thanks for sharing it.

Love the colour and clarity of the image. I never tire of seeing a good sunrise or sunset.

That's nice Dave. I particularly like the subtle pattern in the sky.

Very pretty. The tree does not bother me. I actually like the original better, now that I have a choice. But it's a difference that I think is artist's choice depending on the mood you want to convey because I really liked the first one you posted too.
