    A Duck

Just a plain ol'duck - nothing exotic (yet).

As always, c&c always welcomed and appreciated.

    1. Hmmm, another photographer.

I would crop #1, and #2 IMHO since there appears to be a lot of wasted space in these photos.
#4, and #5 are excellent photos.
I am not a wildlife photographer so take my comments with that in mind.

All beautiful photos, Bobo! #2,3 and #4 are my favourites and #4 is what I'm still trying for

Thanks Bruce. Yes those can take a considerable crop but this time wanted to show their surroundings.

Thanks Christina - not to worry, your tenacity will get you there....

The duck in the sun with dark BG is nice. The second and third shots really show off the green head. You handled exposure well for the flight shots too. Oh, and I like the commentary

Thanks Dan. Compared to yours these are nothing.

I much prefer mellower greens so have considerable problems at this time with this kind of lush green. They look almost like I had slapped a CPL on the lens.

I love the first because you have really got the right caption for him. Good shots all round.

    Thanks Kaye.

Will consider taking up a captioning job.

Considering the captions that you wrote, I hope you feel bad about taking these photos. I'm always amazed at people who capture birds in flight, though I rarely appreciate the results.

You should see my clown impersonations while taking BIFs.

I enjoyed the photos and your captions. The last one with the mallard quacking in protest as he flies away is good!

    Thanks Bruce.

Actually the order of pics was reversed for the story.

    Order of events was 4, 5, 3, 2, 1.
