    When is a long lens absolutely essential?

    I'd say this qualifies...

    My husband had just mowed so I spent most of my time waiting for it to raise its head out from under the grass.

    I'd say the longer lens the better with this subject Terri - you wouldn't want to annoy this critter! I also like the third best.

    A lens will never be long enough...

    Patience has its rewards as seen here. #3 for me too.

    Beautiful photos, Terri. Lovely details and colour. #3 is my favourite.
