    Blue sky

Gosh, has it been that long?
Was I banned from here or did I offend someone, or both? I can't remember.
    Someone remind me.
What ever it was, you're all forgiven.

I've got a stack of photos and a whole heap of words to dispose of. Hope you don't mind me sharing.

    Re: Blue sky

I was wondering what has happened to you.

No, I don’t think you offended someone, you offended everyone!

Why would you post such a crappy image – I could have done it beter!

Welcome back and hope to see lots of you in future. (Maybe this time the teacher will teach us something?)

What's the problem with the image, Andre? Don't you have blue skies and power poles where you come from?
Ok. Here's the first thing I can teach you. Free of charge. When you look at a photo it's not about you, it's about the photographer and the photo. Talk about the photographer and the photo, not about yourself. That means you don't use the word 'I'. What you could have done is of no interest to the photographer, especially if you poke me with the old cliche 'I could have done better'. Next you'll be telling me a 3year old could do it. Don't. Please.
Anyway, its nice to be back. Thanks for the input, Andre.

Now, what would a bloke from The Gong know about blue skies? You'd be more informed about the colour of the steel in the pylons.

No we do not have power poles, our power runs in lines! The "poles" as you call them are only there to keep the power lines out of reach of most people.

So, let's talk about you and the image.

You should know better as this image is stripped of all creativity. No imagination and no artistic approach. What is the subject of the image, what did you want to depict in this image? Blue sky? What blue sky? There are more clouds than sky! Why would you include those ugly power lines in such a badly composed image? Anyway, those power lines are over exposed and you did not even bother looking at your histogram!
The only creativity in this image seems to be that you at least picked up and pointed the camera.

No exif data in your image, there is nothing for me to learn from it and no way I can get any information to try to help you!

Maybe I could not have done better but a 3year old could definitely!

Thanks for the lesson, you may send me a bill, no need to do it for free.

Good for you Tom, it looks like you have a pretty clean sensor there.

Hope you will treat my posts with the same disregard for any feeling the "photographer" might have.

Tom I think we should stop this line of discussion as many new members might not appreciate it.
Some good folks might think this line of discussion is antagonism.

Up North they might not understand Down South humour!

That link is dead in the water, Andre. Try these. You might learn something.
Thanks for the welcome back by the way. You know I love a bit of decent antagonism.
I'll post some more crap photos for you to abuse.

    Cheers

Damn right, Tom, there is absolutely nothing of interest in a blue sky, particularly around here.

    Re: Blue sky

That sky has to be fake. Nothing I remember that fare south ever got that blue. Except for my nose in winter.
Back in my stupid days I did a bit of hang gliding over Stanwell Park. Never tried the chute. Looks like it could fold up any time. Too old for that nonsense now. Just look and shoot.
    Cheers

That's at Stuart Park. They jump out of a plane over the sea and glide back into the land (usually).

I shouldn't knock the gong. Spent many a day surfing the coast there and eating burgers at Pt Kembla. They say there are a few people down that way that look like me. Can't be. I was no where near the place that day.

That’s the reason for me been here and browsing sites, looking at the work of others.
You can never get to old to learn, can you?

What went wrong with that site, was it hacked? Can’t you kill it all together, not nice wanting to browse a site and AVAST tells me “Thread detected”. Not good for your name either!

I sure hope to enjoy some more good “antagonism” as long as other members understand the sense of humour.

Tomorrow I'm going out, sit quietly somewhere and try to Learn to See.
Your dad was a great teacher.
    Cheers Tom, enlightening

That's not the site, Andre, its on your computer. You have picked up a bug from AVAST telling you some sites are not safe. You'll need to get rid of the program on your computer. Se if you can uninstall it. If not, do a backup and reinstate.

Tell me what you can't get access to and I'll send it to you another way. Wouldn't want you to miss out on anything.
