I think you did very well with the reflection and the colour is great.
I'm wondering though if all the black space on the left adds anything to the image.
I tried a 8x10 crop and that put the centre of the front top kiwi right on the rule of thirds cross point.
Maybe a little more room top and bottom might be something to try if the original was larger.
    Very nice
    Cheers, Greg

You did very well!!! It looks a little over-sharp to me but well executed.

I think it is a great effort, too Toby. I don't know anything about studio lighting and I wonder if it would be possible to eliminate the ghosting around the bottom of the reflection

    Looks good to me Tobias.

Seems like you are about to the end of your focus with the back of the back piece just as an observation.

I would also mention the double reflection or “ghosting”.

Just out of curiosity, what is your reflective base?

As others have already said - a beautiful image, well planned and executed.

Re: Kiwi Fruit with a reflection

Thank you everyone. I only had one Speedlite with a home made snoot on it to light the fruit from the left. To get some detail on the right I used a desk lamp. The reflective surface is just a piece of Glass that I found lying around. I think because its a fairly thick piece of glass that might be the reason for the Ghosting. The focus going soft toward the back was actually done on purpose. I wanted the focus to mainly be on the front of the fruit.
