    The Seagulls of Búzios (Brazil)

Dear fellows, here are some seagull shots from a trip to Búzios (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arma%C3...os_B%C3%BAzios) yesterday. Unfortunatelly, the day was very clouded, unlike we use to have here in this part of the world. Anyway, been there, done that!

    C&C welcomed. Thanks for viewing!

Looks like you had fun shooting all those moving targets. Numbers 1 and 8 are exceptional. Nicely done.

#1 and #4 nicely place the scene into real life context. But exposure and focus are good on all of them.

These are great. I've been doing seagulls - herring gulls in northeast US - and after discarding 99/100 I still don't have anything topping these. Good for you, even in rough light.

Very nice, especially the one where the gull is terrorizing the family.

Your practice is certainly paying off. #1 catches the background beautifully. Well done.

    Otavio,
Very nice pictures. Buzios beaches are a little part of paradise in earth. Photo #1 is my favorite, but all the other are very good. Picture #4 is an interesting case of interaction between people and a bird.
    Congratulations,
    Antonio.

...I just found one more of the "terrorizing" seagull! Here it is:

Though gulls are everywhere and tend to be ignored I find that they can be quite fun to watch and take pics of especially whey they gang up on some other bird to steal their food. They go about that with such a tactical mind and the strikes are so well coordinated that one wonders where they learn all this.

Btw, very nice assortment here. Well done.
