    Hi, Karm

Tricky one here. Were it not for the title, I'm not sure I'd recognized it for what it is. I'm more drawn to the juxtaposition of the abstract trees and the natural one. The processing of the garden itself could work as an abstract, but I'm not sure what to make of the natural tree trunk sandwiched between two abstracts. I think I'd almost like to see the abstract foreground trees against the stylized garden, without the intervening tree. I'll come back to this. It's interesting, but I'm not completely comfortable with it.

Kevin, I also have mixed feelings toward the tree trunk. I wanted a painted look to the background. I almost feel that if the tree was not there the image would probably be prettier but less interesting. I see the tree trunk as a transition to the abstract and painted background. I'm probably thinking too much.

It works, gives it a 3-dimensional quality.

Thanks Shadowman. I agree it gives the picture a 3-D look.
