    Canon SX50 - Young Ladybug

I used a Raynox 250 at an intermediate position in order to get a shallower DOF:

    An interesting shot, Augustin.

I don't know what ladybird species you get there but if it was in the UK I would say that was a Two-spot ladybird. Adalia 2-punctata. They are slightly smaller than a typical 7 spot.

Not very common where I live but I might see one or two a year.

Thank you very much, Geoff! Considering you're comment, I think I should have written SMALL, not young, because also in our country (in Eastern Europe), there are smaller ladybugs with more points than some bigger ones and in several colour combinations (black, orange or white points on red, yellow or black background) and it's not conceivable that it will "grow" gaining more points

    All the best,

    Augustin
