    Harlequin Duck

Drifted up close to this beautiful bird in a kayak. It didn't seem to mind.

This is the Nikon 200-400 at f/4. I was so close I had it at 200mm and was filling the frame.

You can! Seriously, very inexpensive set up and easy to operate.

One of my favorite birds. I grew up where wood ducks were common and now living up north the harlequins have taken that spot in my heart. Great low angle from that kayak. Nicely done.

You did a great job, Monte. Capturing the detail in the black and the white areas is difficult to do, but you did it well.
