    Dubai Marina Waterfront Pano

Here's a panorama from last night, taken again with 24-70mm (this time at 70mm)

It's a 4 shot panorama, with 2 exposures for each part of the image (-3EV and 0EV), blended in Photomatix, stitched in PTGui and finished off in Photoshop.

11000+ pixels wide, so plenty of detail on the original

Super pano Phil. Interesting process you've used and it has worked very well indeed.

Thanks Dave. There are uplit sections of sky on the far right and left of the image. Bracketing with any form of overexposed image really kills the sky and makes for tedious pp work, not helped by the final 16 bit file size after stitching. With this, -3 an 0EV doesn't bring the uplit sky into play so much.

I didn't realise that you'd posted such a large image. As Dave says, when you enlarge the image to full size, the detail and clarity is just amazing.

Great panorama and as already mentioned the detail is superb. As for the uplit sections of sky I do not see a concern as in my opinion it adds to the mood of the shot.

Thanks guys - shooting the occasional panorama is my way of removing the 'need' for a certain 36MP camera upgrade!

No Phil, that is a mistake.

Good bit of work that with a great result.

I like panoramas but don't often do them myself.

Stitching bracketed images for panoramas with 16 bit .tif files from a D800 would scare me...

    And kill my computer!

    Happy with my 12MP
