    Big Waves

Last week we were treated to some pounding surf.

    Big Waves

    Big Waves

I literally almost stepped on this guy while walking on the beach, the beach is all medium rocks and you have to watch where you are stepping at all times. There are a lot of loose rocks and it can be dangerous while carrying a DSLR with telephoto on a tripod tossed over your shoulder, so I was one step away from this guy foot in the air and whoa! I backed away slowly and took three shots and left him alone.

The seal pup is a bit of a bonus. The energy in both the wave shots is superb (I'll give nature a bit of credit but you can have the rest) If I have to pick it is the second shot.

Love this series. Wishing I was there in person to experience the waves.

I was wondering how the first image would look in B&W?

Marie, Thanks I personally don't have an appreciation for black & white but feel free to copy the image and try it but repost the results for us to see.
