    B&W White Flower

Now this is something I am not good at, at all. B&W conversions is something I have not often tried.
I was playing around with different effects in PhotoScape. I tried my best with this one but it seems to be lacking something. Is it contrast or perhaps sharpness? What do you B&W Gurus say I can do to enhance it?

    It was converted from colour.

All C&C will be appreciated. No matter how rude the comment, I can take it.

Thanks for spending you valuable time in looking and hopefully commenting.

Isn't it fun to stretch beyond your comfort zone?

For me, the rectangular vignette doesn't fit the round subject. Sort of like putting a square peg in a round hole.

Personally, I use black and white (in non living subjects) when I really want to pull detail out and make people see things they might not always see. This conversion I can see the beginning of that, but the white border, for me anyway, is far too large and detracts from the flower immensely. Even just flipping it to all black would improve this shot greatly I feel.
