    African Darter

These were taken at San Diego Safari Park, the white dots in photo #1 are small bugs that were flying around.

I feel the background is maybe a bit busy on the first one, but, oh, that second one. You nailed it. Wonderful bright eye really lifts it.

Nice images, as Donald wrote... you nailed the second one. The bird looks very similar to the Anhinga we have in Florida.

I agree with everyone. I really like the light and clear background of the second one. Really nice.

Donald, may I stump you on that one. Not to busy, I think Roger used just a little wrong POV. The beak of the bird is blending with the stump. If Roger could have moved a bit more to the left, using more of the water as background it would have been great.

Roger, always be very aware of the background when shooting. It is not always possible to get a great background, I find myself not taking the shot when the background is distracting. The good old guys here at CiC are going to shoot me down on capturing a "bad" background in any case.

Great job. I love the exposure.

Andre, I understand and agree, sometimes I don't go slow enough and think about everything. Thanks for the advice.
