Love Affair With A Dead Tree...

At the nature preserve where I do most of my nature photography there is a dead tree standing starkly without leaves or branches. Early in the morning the rising sun lights it's limbs. If I wait long enough, patience is rewarded. The images posted below were taken at that tree. C&C welcomed and appreciated. Thank you for viewing.

Nice selection of images all at one tree, Joe. They sure do like the dead snags. One of my favorite ones came down this winter.

Great series joe, and a very good lesson. Sometimes it's better to find the background first and wait for the wildlife.

Hello Paul, thank you for viewing and commenting. I know what you speak of regarding the dead snags coming down, the large one that the Barred Owls nest in leans more each year.

Hello John, thank you for viewing and commenting. As photographers it is reflected light that we capture so the quality and brightness controls the colors captured.

Hello Steve, thank you for taking time to look and comment. I wondered who would pick up on finding a location with good light and background and waiting for the birds to come, much like you do with the hummingbirds you photograph.
