Wireless tether to 5D Mark II without EFT E4

Hi is there any other way to tither 5D Mark II wirelessly? I found one blog talking about using an Eye-fi card, a card adapter and an APP called Shuttersnitch. Is it the only way? Does it work well? Thanks

    Hi Michelle,

I think you'll find that the short answer is "not satisfactorily". By all accounts, eye-fi cards are pretty slow. Personally I just use a long cable which seems to work pretty well.

Michelle - I do have the Eye-Fi card and agree with Colin's assessment. It is very slow and really not suitable for serious work.

It lives in my cheap 8-year old Panasonic point & shoot (5MP) and it is fine for these small file sizes when wandering the streets and connecting to a WiFi Hotspot. In a more controlled shooting environment - shoot tethered. Current wireless technology is just too slow.
