    Bluegill Habitat

    I took this picture in March. In June and July I fish this area for jumbo bluegill. Comments welcomed.

    I'll comment, as a fisherman

    Look very 'snaggy' I would imagine its a challenge getting any large fish out of there! Would love to see any pictures of the Blue Gills you catch. In the UK I would be expecting to find some great big Carp hiding up in all those underwater features!

    Hi Andy. I fish this water with a light fly rod using small poppers. I also catch lots of small (10-12 inch) largemouth bass. You're right on with your carp observation. Also lots of huge snapping turtles, a couple of beavers, and tons of water birds.
