Up a gum tree....
Up a gum tree with no where else to go is what I call this one. This pair were on a dead branch on an old apple box gum tree, not far from our bed room window. They were waiting for me to appear with the morning feed. Currently we have 12 to 13 magpies and two crows who regularly front up each morning to be fed.
Thanks for viewing and for any comments you may care to post.

Re: Up a gum tree....
Ken, I love, love love the "high key" background and your composition. It really makes the colouration of the magpies stand out. The birds, however, look a bit soft to me? Or maybe it is just my poor old eyes?

Re: Up a gum tree....
Thank you for your helpful feedback and nice comments Marie. And there is nothing wrong with your eyes mate. The birds are far too soft. Comes of trying to shoot something high up on a limb with a hand held 300mm zoom. It is my poor old shaky hands that are amiss not your eyes. Apparently there is something called a tripod that one should use in situations such as these. Or so they tell me.
Cheers
Ken
