    First attempt at Panorama

    First attempt at Panorama
When I switched from Canon to Sony, I noticed the A77 has a panorama function. The above is my first attempt at using it during a visit to California last month.

Nice shot Bud. I think it looks great for a first pano!!

Excuse my ignorance - 'Sony has a panorama function' - does this mean that you take many frames, and the camera stitches them together for you, and spits it out?

I've never heard of that before on an SLR.

    Hi Andrew:
Yes, it's really sweet. Just put the A77 on a level tripod and hold down the shutter button while rotating the camera from left to right (or whatever direction you prefer) and it stitches the exposures into one photo. I have to say I was very impressed. With 24MP, you can make a neat photo. I'm really enjoying the A77 features. It also does in camera HDR.
