    Egret hunting

Snowy Egret I believe (I gave away my birding books when I moved).
Watched these beauties for around 30 minutes. They must have eaten half a kilo of little somethings amongst the greenery and shallow water.

    Misplaced my 500, had to make do with a 18-250mm, f13, 1/800, ISO 200.

Nice image, looks like a Snowy to me. Wondering how you can misplace a 500mm... interesting last name for photographing birds.

    Thanks Joe,
I checked on-line and the snowy and cattle look similar except for the beck colour. So I guessed.
