    Colin,
Nice image. Nice EXIF ( I finally figured out how to use Jeffery's EXIF viewer)

    Thanks Chris

Exit is a bit misleading in this image - it's actually 15 blended shots.

    Colin,

Very nice picture. The formation of the cloud is amazing.

I am wondering why you didn't just take one shot with 60 seconds exposure considering to use a vari-ND filter? Is there any specific consideration of using 15 shots to blend a final one?

    Cheers,

    Yan

    Hi Yan,

It was shot at 23mm, but I didn't know what I'd need until I framed the composition; much wider than that and it would have been closer to "outright obstruction" than "vignetting" with a Vari-ND stacked with a 3-Stop GND and associated Lee filter holder.

This technique also minimises (read "eliminates") noise.
