    Shooting birds, but he crossed my path
    Black-tailed jackrabbit (Lepus californicus). Still learning the new camera. Have to get better at hand holding to eliminate the blur.

    Hi Bud !! Very nice catch !! Did not see the shutter speed listed but do keep an eye, for birds in flight like to have 1/2500 if possible !! .. for this one the sharpest area is not around the head, do like the catch, great ears !!!

    The shutter speed is given as 1/640 which is possibly a fraction on the slow side if he was running. The back legs look acceptable but there is noticeable motion blur with the front legs.

    A great pity that you didn't have a faster shutter because this shot is otherwise excellent. Still an interesting photo though.

    So if it is any consolation, your camera holding probably wasn't to blame in this case.
