    This cat looks jaded. I like his textures. I'm a little distracted by the unusual placement of the yarn. Also, the colors seem unsaturated, like the shot was done on a point and shoot (though, I've seen DSLRs do this too). The placement of the cat in the shot is good, though, I think a little more of him might help a bit. Focus looks sharp. Lighting is a bit off. Maybe a fill flash might have brought out the shiny coat and colors more. Cats are not easy to photograph as they are always moving. Getting portraits like this is more on timing than anything. Great job on it!

    He sort of reminds me of the "nothing" on Neverending Story. Very fascinating cat.
