    Snow Gums Above Charlotte Pass

Another one from under Kosciuszko. I have decided to try to remember how to spell it.

    Snow Gums Above Charlotte Pass

An HDR using 3 frames 1 stop apart.

    Thanks John & Nancy,

I am glad you like it. I am still not really comfortable with HDR, which I used to try to control the snow and keep the colour in the tree to the right.

    You spell it "Kosi"

Nice shot, I love it up there on the main range. I've got a 10-day walk up there in mind for next summer.

    Thanks,
I have developed a real love of the area.

How are you getting on up there is it still in flood?

But do you know how it is pronounced?

Great work, Graham. You have given a good sense of depth. Those gums on the right really seem to project out of the frame

We're OK because we're up in the hills, but some areas are still copping it.

But do you know how it is pronounced?
Certainly not as we pronounce it, I think it's more like kos-choos-ko, but you'd have to be Polish to get it right

I have developed a real love of the area.
Likewise, I've spent a lot of time up on the main range, I normally go out for a few days as I feel you really have to be on the spot early and late and the "spot" is often several hours walk from the car park.

I've never been to the top of Kosi (too many tourists for me), for my money the best areas are Mt Townsend (the 2nd highest hill in Oz) and the Ramshead Range. Townsend is about half way around the lake walk but across the canyon that holds Lake Albina, too far for a day walk really. But Ramshead is easily accessable.

I'll start a another thread with some pics so I don't high-jack this one.
