    Charlotte Pass Blue Lake Walk

These images were made during the thaw last October. I have used many layers of curves adjustments and colour adjustments to try to develop a layered approach to composition.

Nice patterns, leaves the eyes searching for more, which lead me to the golden reflection, near the foreground, in the second image.

Very nice pictures, isn't it a bit early to have snow down under?

These were taken last year in September - August but there might still be a little bit left around in the Alps. We have had crazy weather down here.

I prefer the first one - are you sure it is Australia? As much as I like taking photographs in Australia I would head to the South Is if I wanted this sort of shot.

Well done and I guess your GPS would have given you some idea of where you were.

Yes but I can't drive to the South Island, I do venture out without a GPS so long as I can see a sign.

Thanks. The first one is the reason I went down there and I was dissapointed at my efforts so it has taken me 6 months to mount a rescue mission on the shots.

Nope, it can snow at any time of year in the high country.

The RH range is to the left of Graham's second pic.

Nice pic. I think that was when we were having 47 degrees on the coast.
    Many brown snakes around?

I've never seen a snake up there, I'm sure they are around though.

Somewhere between the two is about right I think. I'm most comfortable in the mid 30s.
