    Top of the Empire State Building, it didn't dawn on me at first but we the visitors were inside the cage.

    Too bad you weren't able to include all of the bird's left foot. Consider cropping on the left to eliminate the distracting bright light.

    i'm afraid of heights, closest to the edge I was going to get.

    Thanks for the comments. I like the angle of the bars so I would rather clone out if possible.

    The cooled down hot spot appears unnatural to me. You apparently feel that it's important for the three rods of metal to converge. I don't, as the mind knows that they will converge even when the convergence isn't displayed.

    I'm not sure the rods work here. They're leading my eye right off the frame. However, I do like the irony of the bird looking into the cage keeping you away from the edge. I like the pigeon with the city in the background, but to my mind, the photo would be stronger if the rods weren't there at all.
