This one goes back a couple of years. Never thought it was a keeper in color, but now in B&W I really like the feel of it, and the soft results (unsharp photography, anyone?) I got with the VR18-200 @f/11 actually work well with this subject.

This looks sharp enough to me, feel like I could step into the street with glass in hand. Great conversion and composition.

We all looking to make mediocre look intersting; but some achieve it closer than others. Mostly life is mediocre and just needs something to brighten it up a bit; the whole problem is seeing what other people see, I see abstract near perfection feeling, not a visual feeling although it is.
That is PHOTOGRAPHY.

I'll be posting an article specific to this photo some time next week, explaining a couple of additional steps I had to take to make this one work. Preview: I had to convert for the sky in one layer (red channel emphasis) and for the walls/buildings/archway in another (green channel emphasis) to keep the tones right.
