    Birthday Flowers

Forgive me for shooting store-bought flowers, but that's all we can get this time of year. It is snowing again and I am loving these carnations...

    Birthday Flowers

    Any comments welcome.

You have done a beautiful job with them - this is a nice photo. If the fourth, almost hidden, blossom at the bottom left were not there the overall photo would be even more effective and pleasing. Good work!

    Yes, a perfect shot.

You may have got away with a very tiny extra amount of stem. But I'm happy with the way it looks now.

Thanks Ludwig for your comments - I actually thought about cutting off that extra flower, but I couldn't do it. I could clone it out...

And thanks also Geoff for your comments - I agree a little bit more of the stem might be better - there was a bud down there that I didn't want to include.

    I'm glad you like it!

Easy to forgive when you produce something so beautiful. I like the lighting and the detail that you achieved. I agree with Geoff that a little more stem might be nice but as he also said, it's pretty perfect as it is.

Agreed with all of the above, though the leaf on the left bothers me and the flower in the rear works fine for me because it adds depth. I would also crop a bit on the right side to center the flowers. That extra space on the right side doesn't do anything for me.

Wow!! Lovely carnation flowers. I love carnations and planning to have them for my party centerpiece. Today will Send Flowers to my friend as it’s her wedding anniversary. Will purchase them from an online store. Just hope she will love them!

Besautiful flowers Susan I like the lighting. I would crop the image from the RHS to make a square frame. IMO it would look better
