Very nice! Enjoyed as usual. I suppose that gator might have a few birds IN his tummy...

    Superb set, superb.

    Those little herons grow fast.

The gator is certainly hoping to get a meal but there are no KFCs there to hand birds to him on a platter.

Just to echo what others have suggested - This is wildlife photography of the highest quality. I think all of these are of publishable standard.

Hello Dave, thank you for viewing and commenting. This alligator has a full tail, the tip is turned away so not visible in the image. I have seen them with part of a tail missing, I assume bitten off.

Thanks Paul, very much appreciated. That warbler was flitting around catching insects. I pre-focused on the branch and waited for it to use it after catching one. Although it took a while before the branch was used, the image speaks that the wait was well spent.

Hello Harry, thank you for commenting. Your assumption is correct, the tail is in the water bent and not showing.

Hello Matt, thank you for viewing and commenting. That gator is very well fed and probably eats whatever it ambushes.

Hello Bobo, the little one is growing fast. I try to go there weekly to follow progress. The last time Dottie and I were there we felt heartbroken because the nest appeared empty. Then mom arrived and the little one rose to squack for food. That is what the image shows.
