Fire fighter by the hydrant!
Every year, police closes off one of the streets in Brookline, MA for kids to trick or treat in an sterilized environment. This is the street where JFK grew up. The house is not a national historic site.
Here is a shot of my son as a fire fighter (kinda obvious :)):

Too much flash?
Re: Fire fighter by the hydrant!
I think your color may be a bit off - the hybrant is blue!!
Great shot - I'm sure this one will be kept around for some time to come :D

Thanks!
About the color, since this is not posed may be he is thinking about the same thing!
But seriously, these days I usually correct for the pumkin, probably that is why it is blue, but also it may be that the Boston FD wants people to know that the water is cold! :D
By the way, this has been already saved on multiple undisclosed secure media/locations ;)

If it was high noon with the sun shining, then the answer is yes.
Otherwise, given that kids usually trick or treat after dark (here in UK at least), then I wouldn't expect it to look any other way :)

It was completely dark. There were other friends with us, using their P&S camera's and shooting right and left, and obviously they all came out dark, at best a face in the darkness was visible!
It was around 7-8 pm and these days, it get dark at 5 or 6 (before daylight saving started on Sunday). It was a full moon night but also cloudy so the full moon did not help that much.
