Thanks bobo. Yes, I used it on the 300 f/4 and 1dmkII. (The 1DmkII retains autofocus at f/8, unlike my 40D)

Reason I asked was that when trying out the 300/f4 with 2xTC last year with my then 550D, the combo would hunt so much that it was almost useless.

The fourth one is really clever. I suppose you could make photos for the rest of your life and never get that pose again.
