    Sometimes you just get lucky

I just now converted this photo of a good friend taken in 2008 to black-and-white. I have no idea why I was interested in looking at the EXIF information, but I did. Much to my horror, I realize that I used a shutter speed of only 1/30 even though the lens is 85mm with no image stabilization mounted on a camera with a 1.5 crop factor. I'll take that kind of luck.

Or it tells us that we have someone with a very steady pair of hands and good technique.

Nah, not a chance, Donald. I would normally shoot with that lens at no less than 1/160. That's not the stuff of good hands or technique.
