    Fruit to bowl you over

Just a bowl of peaches picked from our fruit tree which looked good enough to eat. So I took a pix instead. The challenge was to see if the framed shot retained their edible appeal. These were the second wave of ripening fruit picked from the tree this year. I wonder if this makes them "sons of peaches?"
Okay, enough with the rotten puns. Thanks for viewing and for any comments.

If you would change the background in a complementary negative space, the photo wouth be delicious. Bot the composition and colours are again delicious.

You did such a nice job with the light, composition of the subject, and post-processing. It's as if I can reach out and feel the fuzz. I also like the placement of the leaf. Nice puns also!

In fact, the image is so nice that it's worth a few improvements to take it to the next level. Even though a different background and tabletop (is it a floor or a table?) could be improved as already mentioned, it would help if you would digitally remove the bright vertical piece in the background that distracts the eye from the leaf. Notice also the distracting reflections in the bowl, especially the stronger reflection on the left side.

I would eat them also, but (there is that dreaded "but" again), the upper left & right sides are slightly distracting for me. I do like the lighting and now I am hungry for peaches, which will be hard to find around here right now

Thank you all for your helpful feedback. The point about paying more attention to the background and its impact is well made and well taken.

Yumm.....I agree, very nice and a change in background could put it at a higher level of delicious.
