    I agree, not for you, Colin. Not full frame and yet too expensive. And I know you do not care about the video. The frame rate is pretty high but you do not shoot birds or things like that!

    The second tier pro body cameras are designed for photojournalists and sports shooters. Where speed and accuracy is imperative because the shot "can not be repeated". I can care less about the video feature, and Canon is still stuck on the mega pixel hype. I find 12 mega pixels is more than adequate for my needs in sports shooting.

    Nikon and Canon can cluck all they want, but stand alone camcorders will still produce VQ far better than any dslrs. Though improved, shutter roll or jelly rolling is still plagued in dslr. Well, that's because it's a camera first! Not a camcorder.
