Macro with 'Old Lens' on PENTAX
The beauty of using PENTAX Digital is that all the 'Old Lenses' fit, even the 1960's Screw-Thread lenses with the Screw-Bayonet adapter -- here are some photos with my 50mm f4 SMC Macro-Takumar lens on my K10D.

Here is my wife's Stargazer Lily at f22 with my Elicar ring-flash ( hand held) manual focus of course.

Re: Macro with 'Old Lens' on PENTAX
Very nice Pete, great job on focus and composition, I have been spoiled with auto focus on my Pentax Kr but have found new uses for my old lenses on my Pentax Q and it's 5.5X crop factor and focus peaking.

Re: Macro with 'Old Lens' on PENTAX
Magnificent, Pete. I am glad I kept my old SMC K-mount 50mm f/4 macro. I guess this and the Takumar must have similar characteristics. Do you have particular recommendations concerning the post processing of pictures taken with this lens?
And thank you for yout reply.

Re: Macro with 'Old Lens' on PENTAX
I got an adapter ring to try old manual focus thread type, Pentax lenses on a Nikon D70s. Sadly they did not focus.
I had been hoping for some good macro shots.
Maybe not as good as those above!
Love the clarity and colour.

Very nice and sharp. Macro shots are fun but hard work to get right. Great shots.

Re: Macro with 'Old Lens' on PENTAX
Thanks to all my 'Viewers' -- well I do not do much 'Post Processing' as I find my photos come out right -- I just use PhotoShop 7 or FastStone Image Viewer to re-size and sharpen a little with unsharp mask.
