So proud ! My first moon pic

Well guys as you know I am a newbie here and last week there was an amazing full moon - took me about 26 attempts with various different settings - trying to rest my arms on a wall in the freezing cold to hold my camera and here is my beautiful moon x

Hello! I do not know, in what time you took pictures. I advise to do a shot early in the evening, or in the early morning. When moon not such bright. More contrast and relief. At night moon too bright for a shot. Here is my example. Unfortunately, only 300мм

Moon shots are not easy, but the first one is always special
    .
    Your Exif says
    shutter 1/128
    focal length 300mm
    Pixel size 2700 - 1500 ????

You didn't use a tripod, maybe you were even shivering.

Your shutterspeed out of hand should be about 1.5 > 2 times the focal length.
And often the lens at max length isn't at it sharpest.

But for the moon you should have a tripod a shutter timer to reduce movement (or remote) and all in camera or lens move reduction should be off.

    About, iso 200, F 8 > 11, Shutter 125 shoud do the trick.

Tracey, a tripod is a must for a nice crisp moon shot. Once you get the camera mounted then the fun really begins...it is kinda addicting. Nice shot for hand-held.

    Hi Tracey,
Well done on your first Moon shot and proud you should be of it.
I must agree with everybody, a tripod IMO is a must, plus the use of mirror lock if possible.

But keep at it, this being you first try and handheld as well; I want to see more.
