    Amazing, almost grotesque, deformity in the growth of the tree. It cries out in tortured agony as the evil Count in his chateau looks out over the scene.

    Oh well, that's what it says to me anyway.

    The branch in the middle appears to be coming up through the clouds (for me anyway). Reminds me of Jack in the Beanstalk. Jack has just climbed up through the clouds and found the castle of the giant.

    very very beautiful picture! as always!
    let me note a very minor thing: moving the castle a bit to the right could be an improvement? perhaps even placing the castle just upon the top-right branch?
