Excellent stuff you have there Rob!

Would love to here more about your trip on the roof of the world and the few stories beneath the photos.

People usually are lazy opening dropbox image folders and prefer to see the pics inside the forum.

Just watched all you images Rob.

Now be honest... you are a National Geographic photographer, aren't you?

What's with the upside down monkey?

That made me smile Miltos! I've been taking photo's for about as long as I've been a member I this forum, and I'm still learning a lot!

The monkeys at "The Monkey Temple" Kathmandu are awesome. I guess this guy was thirsty! I'm replying to your comment on my phone, appollogies if its brief.

Ill see later if I can upload the pics to this forum.

Thanks for the great comment. It makes all the work worthwhile.

Wonderful set of images. Thanks for sharing.

We are particularly lucky here to have one guy on top of the world, another at the bottom, and another under the water. How cool is that...

    Rob,

Please tell me that you have NOT been taking photos for only a couple of years. These shots show a compositional eye and levels of creative and technical sophistication that take years of experience for most of us, if we get there t all. You truly have a talent, and I hope you will post as regularly as possible.

My hat is off to you,

    Kevin

Re: Nepal and Everest Base Camp

Thanks for all the great comments guys! It's such an amazing feeling to take a picture, share it with others and then have it appreciated like that. It's exactly why I love photography.

Kevin: Indeed I have only been taking photo's for a few years. I have, however, always had an interest in sifting through beautiful shots from others online, in magazines or on social network sites. Maybe this is where I have gathered most of my inspiration. I greatly appreciate your comments. It ensures confidence it what I am doing and motivates me to progress as a hobbyist photographer. Thanks!

Rob, thanks for sharing - every single one of those images is inspiring. It is a place that I really hope to visit someday, a friend of mine went last year and stayed for 2 months, I was very jealous. Now these shots make me more eager.

You've really magically captured the environment, the aura, and atmosphere.

    Thanks again!

    Andrew!

Thanks for the lovely feedback. I can do nothing more than say "do it". It's really a lovely place to visit. The scenery, the culture, the experience; it's all magical. After we did our hike to base-camp, we travelled south of Nepal to see "real nepal". No tourists, no motor-vehicles, nothing. Pure bliss.

I've just added my final selection (another 7) to the folder should you wish to see.

    Thanks again,

    - Rob

Thanks for these excellent photos. I necessarily looked at them with lots of envy... The one that really stood out for me as it happens was the one showing three figures in the mist, no doubt because it was so very much different from all the other glorious shots. Thanks!

Awesome photograpy. Every image tells a story and they all seem to fit together to make up the bigger picture.

Re: Nepal and Everest Base Camp

    Thanks guys.

The photo in the mist was taken in the South of Nepal. About 8am while we were out on elephant safari I spotted these women, amogst others, returning from a morning bathing session in the river. More had been out picking wild mushrooms and fruit in the Jungle. I didn't think this particular image was anything special until I tried it in B&W.
