Heron close up

I was stalking this heron and getting pretty close waiting for the flyaway shot but he wouldn't fly, I ended up about 6 feet from him and decided to get a close up shot.

It was at a man made lake with lots of foot traffic but that said I've only been able to get that close one other time with a Egret.

Nice close up Roger. They can be stubborn at times. Once you have gained their confidence and get close it can be difficult to get that fly away shot at all.
