    Coke bottle

A nickname I gave to a block of 2 very highrise apartments blocks in Toronto while they were going up. Seems the nick has stuck and everyone calls them that now.

Got a fleeting chance to grab a shot with the s90 will waiting at a red light.

Did a bit of work on the shot and sliced out a portion for this view. Apologies if this is a wasted effort - you have to understand that I am not that guy in Dubai and nowhere compared to his stuff.

Comments/suggestions, stones etc all welcomed and appreciated.

    Thanks

    Amazing looking building Bobo.
Would like to see a photo of it in it's entirety.

There are of course several on the web. If you search for "absolute world towers" or "marilyn monroe towers" in Mississauga, and make a picture search you'll get scores.

    Bobo,
Excellent! It is all there, pattern, form, contrast, tone – a winner! IMHO

    Thanks Greg, Urban, Andre, Warrick.

Wanted to compare the pic to those on the web - browsed through 40+ pages of many more pages but did not see even one pic with the perspective in the op. Should I be happy about that or sad that it is not normal ?? Hmmm.

    From further up the road.

Well, I'm not sure exactly what you're asking, but if it were me, and that was my shot, I'd be happy. I think your shot is a much more appealing image. But that's just my opinion.

Thanks Andrew - don't mind me, I was just rambling back there though the "commonality" of the shots came as some surprise.

I really like the shot, but I'm not sure it works in B&W regardless of the PP. As it seems to be a reflective surface, I'm wondering if you could leave the color on the buildings, but have the background in B&W. It might be a cool way to show the buildings off.

They are they sort of subject that would have me working for days trying to figure out how I want to show them. There are a lot of possibilities!

    Have fun!

    Thanks for the suggestion Gretchen.

My plan is to go there on a good day (raining, stormy or snowing) and create a set. Will apply all suggestions from here at that time.

Very interesting buildings, but I would sure hate to live in one.
I like the high contrast you have in your image.
    Excellent

Be happy Bobo. I like yours better than anything I could find. A very nicely done bit of work I think.

Thanks Paul for taking the time to see the other stuff. Appreciated the kind words.

Returning home on 28th and will hopefully catch that place before Christmas.

Birds and bugs will probably be too few to catch so have to find something to pass the time.
