    Did I improve the original

    As the title asks.
    Did I improve the original?
And what else could I do?
The photo was taken on a Richo Capilo R5 from a moving open top bus.
Sadly I did not realize the settings on the camera were changed and it is only a very small file.
I am not sure how much that affects quality.

Most of the post-processing on the second image definitely improves it. However, when you leveled the image to make the fence appear uniformly at the bottom, doing so tilted the image to the right. That becomes especially apparent with the tall building in the top left corner and less so with the other buildings in the rear.

Robin, have a look in the tutorials here at "Using Local Contrast Enhancement". This technique seems to bring out the details and textures of buildings, and seems also to give more of a 3D look to the scene. Probably a matter of personal taste, but it appeals to me.

    Cheers.

Thank you, all this PP process is new to me.
I went and looked at the tutorial you mentioned.

Very helpful and easy to see the improvements in the first examples.
