    Wing Span

I did some netball 'sportraits' for friend - player head shots, passing the ball etc
I finished with this one for something different.
I checked the venue with the Coach prior, it had some nice plain grey walls..... until the players arrived & 1 was about 6ft 4 tall... and her head was above the nice background level in the gym & framed by rafters and insulation paper...groan.

    Wing Span

anyway they have been 'moved' onto a new background.
    thanks for viewing.

That is brilliant. Nothing else I feel I need to add.

    Kay,

I find that shot to be perfect. I've been involved in sports my entire life, had 4 kids all involved in sports, and this iis the most creative and overall best team shot I have ever seen. These girls must love it.

Wingspan, indeed! What a wonderful idea! Just one suggestion next time that you lower the girl's hands with the long reach to expose the name of the team on the backs of the outer players.

    Thankyou Kevin
There is a famous Joe McNally shot of a Basketballer facing the camera with angels wings lit up behind him, so Ive sort of just gone on from that - the girls faced the camera first, as they didnt know what I had in mind, but yes they do really like it now, they see the finished version.

Thanks Mike - good idea on the positioning detail too - which would make it work better if I ever use it again on Basketballers who have their number on the back of their shirt, some can be very precious about their number!
