    Just a seagull

A quick drive down to Geelong foreshore yesterday to grab some seascapes was a bit of a flop as the weather down there was not overly nice. However, I did manage to get ... wait for it ..... yep a few bird shots in.

Although this shot is rather mundane as far as poses go there is something about it that made me think its not a bad shot.

Your C&C is most welcome, encouraged and appreciated.

Hi Soozie. Very nice shot of a wonderful bird (I love seagulls). The exposure is good and this is sometimes difficult to achieve when shooting white birds. Well done!

Ps.: I would just try "Uncrop" (assuming this is a crop version) right and upper parts a little, to place the seagull's head in the rules of the thirds. Although this is a close up, sometimes it works better...

JUST ??? This is a superb shot. Certainly not easy doing a white bird, not easy at all. Well done.

I#d agree woth both comments above. I wondered if the head is a little close to the right hand edge of the frame. As Bobo says, you have really nailed the exposure.

Great shot Soozie, maybe a bit more space to the right would add to it, overcast days can prove great for bird photography because the soft light makes it better for capturing the detail in the feathers,

Wow, Thanks so much guys for the feedback. Here I was thinking it was an average shot. Seems I still have much to learn about criticing my own shots lol
