    Trout at Tadpole Bridge

Stayed in a delightful little pub last night in Oxfordshire called the Trout at Tadpole Bridge.

It sits on the banks of the river Thames and when I got up this morning to have my morning coffee I went for a little walk in the garden and happened upon this scene. I couldn't resist a few snaps!

Processed in ACR and final touches in CS6.

    C&C welcomed as always!

    Thanks for viewing

Nicely put together image. The angle at which you've got the boat leads us nicely through the arch of the bridge.

By the way, how was the boat trip!?

Thanks Donald. Sadly I don't have time to commandeer this fine vessel and sail down the Thames this morning, I have to go to work instead

If you go onto Google Earth you can cross that bridge in your picture and look down at that boat (looking at it as a possible place to stop off at after getting off the ferry from St Malo to Portsmouth on my way back from holiday in France next year).

    Looks gorgeous.

Yeah it really is a beautiful part of the world.

The pub that I stayed at here was also very charming and the food and ales were spot on! £85 a night for B&B, not bad!

If you do happen to go there let me know in good time, I'd love to come and buy you a beer!

The reflection in the water that is inside the boat is really special. I would have been inclined to use a polarizer to minimize the glare on the boat but that might have also minimized the reflection that is so important in the water. Consider darkening and saturating the rear of the boat to obtain a similar effect as using a polarizer.

I'm not sure why the boat is tied up. It's not going to go very far in this state.

Love the way the punt pints towards the old stone bridge arch.

Cracking image, from the green of the grass and autumnal leaves, to the boat, river and arch of the bridge. If I had any feedback, being picky my first instinct was that the left side of the bridge is a bit bright but nothing major.

Tommy, the colors in this image are really nice and I love how the reflections continue on into the sunken punt. (Never heard of a punt except in football - and I don't mean soccer ) Whatever the vessel is called, I really like your photo! What a nice place for a morning walk.

Nicely done Tommy, from seeing to PP you have made a very peaceful and inviting image. I love the early morning light as well.
