    Mark,

    The issue of the viability of watermarks has been discussed a lot and very recently. You might want to hunt down a thread that discusses it. I mention that because, ironically, if you want your watermark to be effective in preventing theft, you should be aware that you placed both of them in places where I could easily get rid of them in about 15 seconds each. There are places in both images that it might take as much as a minute each, but probably not that long.

    As for the photos, I like the composition of both of them, though I wonder if you have another version of the second one that doesn't include the somewhat distracting clump of sand on the left. The intense saturation is a style that some people will like, though I believe most serious photographers will think that they are examples of understandably succumbing to the use of too much saturation.
