    Hi Karm,

If your intent is to draw attention to the chestnuts, maybe arrange them on the flat surface like that lone chestnut. This should set them apart from the almost same colored leaves .

Meanwhile, just have fun clicking away....................

    Karm,

Beautiful colors and lighting. To give my personal thoughts/critique, I'd say that I might have framed tighter on the chestnuts to draw more attention to their wonderful texture and color. Also, the yellow leaf at the very bottom is very centered, almost pointing to the center, and I find it distracting. Were I doing this exact shot, I would have removed that leaf before taking the picture. I think I would actually crop out that leaf and the stray nut in the lower right. The 3 chestnut cluster and the leaves at center would be a really nice shot, I think. Despite all of that, I still really like the shot, it has great mood.

Matt, thanks for your comments. I left various imperfections in the scene's setup to avoid making the picture look too posed. If I retook the picture I would point the bottom leaf in a different direction. I will try your last suggestion concerning the picture's crop.

Victor, I have photo's based on your suggestion. For some reason they look too posed. I wanted the photo to look less setup.

    Thanks

Yep Karm! Moving in closer helps draw attention to the important parts of the image. Any time you feel an image isn't giving you all it can, try making it BIGGER! You'd be surprised how often that all it needs is a bit more center stage!
