Glenn. You've captured an interesting action of the bird. Unfortunately, it looks like you took the shot in mid day, judging by the shadow. The grass is so bright it pulls the viewer's eye away from the bird. There is also a shadow under the bird's wing and it is hard to see any detail in that area. One possible solution, without retaking the photo is to crop very close to the bird so there is less bright green.
