Nice capture. I would however suggest straightening the horizon. I think it might also work with a closer crop, to eliminate the roof in the foreground, and some of the water.

Is the vignetting effect in the first shot deliberate or due to the type of lens in use?

The second shot is more 'interesting' as the buildings give a sense of place to the sunset.

Certainly remove the building to the right, but if taking again, I wonder whether more of it could be included to give greater depth?
