Stonechat
Hi folks,
The first image is the female Stonechat taken on saturday morning when the first golden rays of the sun were upon her, the second is the male taken sunday morning which was a misty drab one. The male is alot more flamboyant in spring and summer when he is out and about chasing the ladies. Critique and comments always most welcome, Best Wishes,
Pat

Re: Stonechat
Nice shots Pat.
I definitely prefer the male. It appears very slightly sharper and the colours are better.
Whereas I like "golden glow" shots particularly of landscapes and buildings, unless a bird photo is particularly "artistic" for some reason (dancing cranes come to mind), I prefer the colours to be more natural, especially in a standard "pose".
You have managed to rid the male of the drab mist very nicely.

Re: Stonechat
He looks a bit stern doesn't he... perched there surveying his kingdom.
Lovely sharp capture of the male and I suppose it is technically the better of the two shots but I do like the colours of his 'golden girl'.
Nicely done Pat.

Re: Stonechat
Pat, both are very nice shots, but I must say the golden rays of the sun on the female are very appealing.
