    The Royal at f1.4

I went for a walk today. I have been looking at landscapes shot with the foreground element shot with the lens fully open. This is my attempt in the Royal National Park.

    The Royal at f1.4

    50mm f1.4 ISO160 f2.0 1/2000 sec. Aperture moved in error.

Nice bokeh, nice composition, nice balance between sunlit and shaded areas. Nice shot

    Thanks Steve & Arith,

I have been searching for some time for a way to make an image of our bush. It is very busy and difficult to make a composition with depth.

I really like this Graham....thank you for sharing it.

I love woodland and that beautiful dappled light but never succeed in getting quite the image I have in my head. I will give this technique a try .

I find this type of image very attractive. The background is blurred to the perfect degree in my opinion.
