And a color one i liked.
Any tips or advice for composition, post processing, etc. are welcome, and thanks.

The first shot is my favourite but I think it would be even better if you cropped vertically - on the left crop out the bright leaves and just fraction on the right to remove the little bit of dark gap in the decking that is on the edge of the photo. Possibly a bit of dodging around the eye area.
What a lovely open face.

Nice shots Mitch and a cute little fella. One thing to try next time is to get down to the child's eye level. This will give you a better angle as your not looking down. Nice work.

Thanks for the feedback Paul and wayne. I'll definitely try composing the shot differently and changing my level next time. I appreciate the input!

The BW works very well since the kid has a nice contrast to the background.
I like the current crop, I think the composition is balanced and the shot angle (above eye levels) enhances the feeling of play and joy.

Love the mono Mitch, it has really timeless quality and the leaves on the decking work well for me.
Enchanting wee fella.
